Property VS Poverty

It's become my daily routine to take newspaper at the LRT Putra entrance, since i'm using public transport to go to work. Usually i finish reading front page before the train reach KLCC station.


Today (21th may 2010-friday), the front page news does not surprise me at all. I am just suprised, why they just notice about that? Why Now!

The low cost apartment is for those earning below RM2,500/= per month. Logically based on their salary range, of course they are not entittled for it. They are not general clerk, or typist. Few of them was director & deputy director. But they are using their position on the government body to get the house. It's we called 'abusing their power'.

It's always happen everywhere in this country now, not just in this case. Those who have power will misusing it to their own interest. How about them who really need this house?

They are people on working class. Some of them really poor and they dont have 'cable' on Government body, to help them get the house. But i always heard Government's priority is for them. Really?

Today, who can really help those in need?

I'm not going to blame Selangor Government's. But, at least it show some lack of monitoring there. Why no one notice about this before. It's not just happen on Selangor State actually, but around Malaysia. I remember one song "dari Perlis sampailah ke Sabah, kita sudah mer..lalala..."

Recently, I go to management office, to pay water bill for my home. I heard the staff there chatting about one resident who have outstanding bills. The reason is, his now stay at Saudi Arabia, and he have another house there. This house developed by DBKL to replace 'setinggan village' and the priority is for 'setinggan' resident and those earning below RM2,500/=. But this guy got a lot of money, running good business, buy a home at Saudi Arabia, and finally using his cable on Government body to buy this house. It just like property collection for him, even he notice that the working class is suffer because of that.

I believe that many more people like this. As long as they have connection on the Government body, thay can get what their want because they got cash $$$. Money is the main question today. But when working class apply for this home, there is a lot of bureaucracy in the procedure. Usually the reason is "err..wait la, there are many applications for this, they also waiting, why dont you? "

Hoho...after you read this post, call some of your friend in Government body, be close with them. If you dont have one, try hard to be their friend. Because this is the only hope to live!
